Property owners, Buzz Jordan and Tom Townsend, are seeking approval for a music and event venue located at 401 Dauphin St., Mobile, Alabama. Buzz and Tom are committed to improving downtown Mobile, as demonstrated by their other downtown projects, such as the historic renovation of 459 Dauphin Street into a multi-use property and the recent purchase of the A&M Peanut Shop at 209 Dauphin Street.
The historic brick building was built in 1854 and then converted to Art Moderne style in the 1930s. The building is located in the LoDa area of downtown in Mobile, Alabama. The property sits on the south side of Dauphin Street between the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception to the east and property owned by Hoffman’s Furniture to the west.
After a complete restoration as a National Park Service Certified Historic Preservation Project, our music and event venue will encourage new life to spring from Mobile’s downtown infrastructure. Our active tourism outreach will foster new jobs, revenues and taxes, while promoting Mobile as an epicenter of southern music. Our outreach will help foster local talent and draw regional acts to our area while boosting local real estate values and our local hospitality industry.
